Need to find a new getaway? This Google app can help

Google has now launched a “favorite places” app as part of its GoogleMaps service.
As part of the pull to attract folks to the service, they have apparently polled a series of celebrities to add their favorite places to the interactive map. For example, Yo-Yo Ma uploaded some of his favorite places to eat on the West Coast, and pro skateboarder Tony Hawk waxes enthusiastic in a video post about heli-skiing.
Even better, you can search by location as well as by personage, which might be a bit more helpful when you touch ground at JFK.
